Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how QuipIQ ("QuipIQ," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you use our website, application, and related services (collectively, the "service"). By using the service you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information — your name, email address, hashed password, business name (if provided), time zone, and billing address. If you sign in with Google OAuth we also receive the basic profile fields that Google exposes to the application.
  • Billing information — payment card details are collected and stored by our payment processor; QuipIQ receives only tokenized references, the last four digits, card brand, and billing status.
  • Usage data — pages viewed, features used, API requests, errors, device type, browser, operating system, approximate location derived from IP, and timestamps. This data is used in both identifiable and aggregated form.
  • Auction, listing, and inventory data — the inventory items, lots, bids, ledger entries, strategies, listings, photos, and notes that you add to the service, together with public auction data that we ingest on your behalf.
  • Communications — the content of messages you send to our support channels or submit through in-app forms.
  • Cookies and similar technologies — session cookies required to keep you signed in, CSRF tokens, and limited analytics identifiers. See the Cookies section below.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Operate, maintain, and secure the service and your account.
  • Process payments, send invoices, and manage subscriptions.
  • Provide, personalize, and improve features such as scoring, deal radar, analytics, and labeling.
  • Communicate with you about product updates, security notices, billing, and support.
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
  • Produce de-identified and aggregated analytics that cannot reasonably be used to identify you.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information. We share information only as follows:

  • Service providers — vendors who host infrastructure, send transactional email, process payments, deliver support, or provide analytics, bound by contractual confidentiality and security obligations.
  • Integrations you authorize — if you connect a third-party service (for example, Gmail or a marketplace account), we share the information necessary to operate that integration at your request.
  • Legal and safety — when we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of QuipIQ, our users, or the public.
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to customary confidentiality protections.

4. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When you delete your account we delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law (for example, tax and payment records) or where the information has been de-identified.

5. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You can exercise most rights from your account settings, or by emailing support@quipiq.com. We will respond within the time required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

6. Cookies & Analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, measure performance, and secure the service. Strictly necessary cookies cannot be disabled through QuipIQ because the service will not function without them. You can usually disable other cookies through your browser settings; doing so may degrade functionality.

7. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including TLS in transit, hashed credentials, scoped access control, and monitoring. No system is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee the security of information transmitted to or stored on the service.

8. International Transfers

QuipIQ is operated from the United States, and our vendors may process information in the United States and other countries. If you access the service from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in jurisdictions whose data-protection laws may differ from those of your country.

9. Children's Privacy

QuipIQ is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact support@quipiq.com and we will take steps to delete it.

10. Third-Party Links

The service may contain links to third-party websites and services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing them with personal information.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes we will notify you through the service or by email before they take effect. The "Last updated" date below indicates when this policy was most recently revised.

12. Contact Us
